Breast Health

  • Minimise your exposure to heavy metals and chemical toxins by eating organic foods, drinking filtered water, using chemical free skincare & makeup and using enviro friendly cleaning products
  • Decrease your exposure to xenoestrogen by avoiding the use of plastic containers, water bottles, plastic wrap, microwaving food in plastic containers and drinking from Styrofoam cups.
  • Ensure you maintain optimal nutrients in your diet that support breast health such as iodine, selenium and vitamin D3 and supplement where necessary.
  • Avoid long term use of the contraceptive pill and HRT if you have a family history of cancer, lump breasts or cysts
  • Maintain healthy hormonal balance and liver function with cruciferous vegetables that support oestrogen metabolism – broccoli, brussel sprout, cabbage as well as leafy greens and high fibre whole grains
  • Avoid using Aluminium deodorants and personal care products containing Aluminium
  • Limit or avoid products containing caffeine – coffee, tea, cola, chocolate. Caffeinated products contain a compound called methylxanthine that cause an over production of cellular tissue associated with fibrous tissue and cysts in the breast.
  • Constipation can be a strong contributing factor associated with many oestrogen conditions due to poor metabolism and recycling of oestrogen.  Flax lignans found in ground flax seeds are a good source of fibre that enhance elimination of oestrogen and also increase SHBG that binds unbound oestrogen in the liver.
  • Hormonal balance is the key to decreasing cellular change within breast tissue.  Saliva & urinary hormone testing can assess your oestrogen balance and identify imbalances in hormone levels and incorrect metabolism of oestrogen.

Testimonials

" I started seeing Cheryl because my husband and I were having trouble falling pregnant due to my irregular menstrual cycle. I was also considerably overweight and suffered from chronic allergies.  I was started on a range of supplements and a diet to improve my preconception health and weightloss and before long I discovered I was having a baby.  I had an amazing pregnancy - I felt great the whole time, probably better than I have ever felt in my life due to eating better and the supporting nutrients I was taking.  I also felt completely supported  and nurtured by Cheryl who always made time to answer my hundreds of questions.  I now have a beautiful baby girl who is just so happy and healthy and I have even lost nearly 30kg".
